I really couldn't care less about my birthday this year and would actually quite like to just order in and watch a movie BY MYSELF, however, if I don't organise some sort of bash, I know my friends will do it for me as a "surprise" despite my pleas to the contrary so, I guess I have no option - I have to do something. I'm figuring it's going to end up being in a pub and then a club, but can anyone think of anything else to do (this can be pub related)? something to make it somewhat interesting or different to other years? I'll be 23 and I live in Dublin so that pretty much limits me to pub or cinema.lol. also, don't want to go for a meal so thats out. please help me creative people of yahoo :) moreResolved Question: Is the Princess and the Frog due to come out in cinemas soon in Ireland?

Hi there, just wondering where I can get 3D glasses for TV (not for cinema) I live in Dublin, Ireland. I tried to make my own glasses but they only sell the whole cellophane roll to 9 euros each colour which is very expensive for only taking less than an A4 size. Hope you can help me. Thanks I know TV is not in 3D, that is for movies I already have in 3D but i lost the glasses somewhere. moreVoting Question: Strange events; need help.?
So it's strange. Basically I think I have some strange form of De-ja-vu. It happens all the time. One example is that I was going to the cinema with some friends. One of our friends is gay and we joked with him that he should dress up like Uncle Sam and have a poster saying "I want you". The film we saw was "The Soloist". In it Jamie Foxx dresses up in one scene as Uncle Sam.....The next day, in college, we were talking about World War 2 propaganda and what comes up....The Uncle Same poster. Another example is when I was going up to meet someone for work. I was listening to the RENT soundtrack. In one of the songs there is a line that goes "New York City; centre of the universe". So I go to meet this person and we talk about Dublin and she says "Dublin; centre of the universe". Another example is the latest one; I was watching a spanish film at 3 am in the morning. In the film it talks about a thought experiment called "Schrodinger's Cat". The next day, I was watching the Big Bang Theory....and Sheldon mentioned Schrondinger's Cat!!!! This happens to me ALL the time. What is going on? I need help. I cant control when it happens, but it happens too often for it to be coincidence! Help!! moreResolved Question: help with business idea?

My Hobbies Are As Follows : walking, reading, writing poetry, studying medical complaints, carrying out medical research. Bono Speaks At the U2 concert in Croke Park, Bono asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone: "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies" A voice from near the front of the audience pierces the silence: "Fookin' stop doin' it, then!" Overheard by Anonymous, Croke Park 2005 In the Omniplex a while back, a particularly boring bit of the movie was on, when a cry came from the dark. Shadow at the front (shouting): "Anyone! Is there a doctor here? Is there a doctor here?" (Shock. Confusion.) Voice from the back: "Here - I'm a doctor" Voice from the front: "Sh*te film, isn't it?" ...and sat back down Voice from the back: "Little bastard - if I find ya I'll rattle ya" Overheard by YoYoBoy, Santry Cinema I was working one night in a pub in Dublin when an American man in his forties came in and said "Gimme a pint of Guinness and hold the cream". Fantastic comeback A bus stops with it's front wheels slightly inside a yellow box at a junction. A guy with a flash girlfriend and a flash convertible car pulls up beside the bus. The flash guys shouts out his window at the bus driver: "YELLOW BOX, YELLOW BOX". The bus driver opens his window and says back to him: "You'd better get her to the clinic" Not the type of horse you ride Two nice lookin chicks, short skirts walking down O'Connell st about 9 o'clock saturday night. Usual tracksuit scangers shouting "story love!". They're not happy getting ignored so hoody no #1 shouts: "c'mon love oim hung like a horse" without breaking a stride hot chick shouts back: "yeah hung like a f**k*ng sea horse by the looks of ya!" Overheard by tony, O'Connell Street Munching Mary Harney Not heard but seen- a PD election poster with the rather voluptuous Mary Harney. The slogan beside her picture was "Don't throw it all away". Someone had altered it to say "Don't throw it all away... I'll eat it" I'm still laughing about it now... Overheard by Alanna J, Seen- Dublin Dub uses poetic licence Had to go to hospital the other night and when i was sitting in A+E this guy who looked like lorcan from fair city came in shoutin and roaring...the nurse asked what was wrong when he pointed at this blood soaked leg and said...."Hurry up will yiz...i'm bleeeeeeedin bleedin" Let him eat cake As I walked up North circular road one day I noticed a gang of junior lags waiting outside the prison. At the same time a 'husky' boy of 10 or 11 was huffing and puffing past with two large bags of shopping. As is expected with junior lags one of them pipes up "Ya fat bastard ya" and they all laugh. Cool as you like the boy places his shopping down, looks at them and replies "I'm only a fat bastard cos yer ma giz me a slice of cake everytime I ride her", picks his shopping up and continues on his way. What a hero. Overheard by mugwumpjism, Phibsboro . On the 79 bus yesterday, sitting upstairs. As per usual, you've got your group of junkies holding court at the back of the bus, talking about 'micko in de joy' (mountjoy jail) etc etc, then they subject turns to football. As the debate about teams gets more heated, to settle the dispute one of the junkies calls out to a guy sitting across from him on the bus, "Here, mister, who d'ya support?" Without missing a beat the guy says: "Your family" Overheard by Robin, 79 bus whats for breakfast? A couple of years ago outside Fireworks nightclub I overheard some Ginger bloke who had just got kicked out for being too pissed. He was on the phone to his mates inside. It wasnt good enough for the bouncer in fireworks that this bloke had been kicked out, he had to have a go at him while he was on the phone as well. "Ringin' yer mammy to see whats for dinner are ye?".......To which the pasted punter replies "No, im ringin you're mammy to see whats for breakfast!"
