Since my monitor doesn't use Mini Displayport, could I use a Mini Displayport to DVI Adapter? i Mac Pro works with the 30" ACD but i'm getting the 24" ACD to work with my 13" MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz until i can get enough money to buy the 12-Core Mac Pro once it is updated. how is the screen res on the 24" ACD compared to my 13" MBP? i know its better. but by how much? will it be able display Final Cut Studio properly? i have FCS on my MBP and "Color" requires a higher screen resolution than my MBP's screen. I have the A1082 Aluminum Cinema Display, and i hit it with a doorknob (or rather a doorknob hit it) while i was moving into my new apartment. i have the new model that is 15 inches and aluminum unibody. it shows that the highest resolution is far lower than what the 30 inch can put out but i am wondering if there is a way to work around this more

Resolved Question: With 1920x1200/1080P (or any) resolution does quality degrade as the display size increases?

I currently use a 30" cinema display for my desktop computing at 1920x1200 resolution as I understand it the equivilent to 1080P, but the image is displayed in a different manner HDCP. When I bought it I remember some gaming enthusiasts saying that the quality at 1920 was better on a 24" (clearer) because the pixels were the same number across a smaller screen, I mean this makes sense logically to a point. My display does both. In any case, I am thinking of upgrading my single 30" display I use for computing to a 1080P Plasma or LCD in a large format 50-60" perhaps even 3. So if I double my screen size do I loose half the quality/sharpness of the image. I will primarily be using this for hardcore gaming, but I need to be able to read fine text on those large screens from 6 feet or more. Answers, suggestions, ideas...? Thanks. more
